Parent/Guardian
Involvement
Platte River Academy would not exist without
active parent/guardian participation. The
opportunities for your involvement in the school
are abundant as well as diverse. Although we
realize that time is at a premium for every
family, we ask each member of our parent
population to actively participate in Platte
River Academy by:
Volunteering at the school or at home in some
way that benefits the school. A minimum of 40
hours per year per two-parent family or 20 hours
per year per single-parent family is requested.

Attending one governing board meeting a year.

Attending one committee meeting (committee of
your choice).

Participating in one PTO fund-raiser per year.

Attending one "work day" per year (dates are
listed below).

Manning the carpool line at least twice during
the year.

Assisting with lunch/recess supervision at least
twice during

the year.

Assisting with serving hot lunch at least twice
during the year
